How can you tell if your poop is normal? What is regularity, anyway? TV viewers in the Pacific Northwest enjoyed fun ‘poop’ tutorials and learned they can now find their favorite prebiotic soluble fiber supplement, Sunfiber, at select local Target or BiMart stores, and Target online.
Pull up a toilet seat! Appearing on Portland’s Afternoon Live and Everyday Northwest, alternative health expert Bryce Wylde, BSc, DHMHS, Homeopath gave viewers the 411 on #2.
Just like an eye chart, there is one for poop called the Bristol Stool Chart
The Bristol Stool Chart illustrates the seven types of poop, ranging from pellets (constipation) to watery (diarrhea). For a full downloadable version, click here. Wylde brought the chart to life by placing clay samples beneath seven toilet seat lids.
“Type 3 is what you want to see,” he advised. “This is a perfect S-shaped stool. It dives into the bowl like an Olympic diver. And you’re in and out of the bathroom in less than a couple of minutes, with no time to scroll through your social media while you’re waiting for things to happen.”
Wylde explained that prebiotic soluble fiber such as Sunfiber is all the rage, and for good reason. It’s a truly regulating fiber. There is also evidence that a healthy gut may help improve moods. “We’re hearing a lot about the gut-brain connection.” If your gut isn’t regular, then mood may be impacted.” He added, “We’re also learning more about the gut’s connection to heart health and immune function.”
While fruits and vegetables are the best insoluble fiber sources, Wylde explained, “To become more regular, enter Sunfiber. This is an incredible soluble fiber made from the guar bean. It is tasteless, odorless and mixes easily into water or coffee.” This will help you to have type 3 or 4 bowel movements, for a happy gut.
In addition to Amazon and Tomorrow’s Nutrition online stores, Tomorrow’s Nutrition Sunfiber is becoming more widely available at select Target and BiMart stores, as well as online at Target.com.
